We use technology to make “magic” happen! Technology connects people, making all forms of communication—including business transactions, video sharing, and mobile browsing—faster and less expensive. Technology workers use science and engineering to create and troubleshoot computer and information systems. People who work in technology study computer and information sciences, including those related to operating systems, artificial intelligence, programming, cryptography, and mobile computing.
Jobs in technology include video game programmers, information security analysts, database administrators, to computer network architects. If technology didn’t exist, we wouldn’t have every day things such as computers, mobile devices, and calculators.
iSPACE programs help students put technology to the test to solve problems in hands-on minds-on programs.
“The goal is not only to solve a problem, but also to make that problem easier to solve in the future,” says Dan Parsons, an IT manager in Portland, Oregon.
