Women continue to be underrepresented in STEM careers. iSPACE has made a special effort to provide programming specifically for girls in past years and we want to expand and this effort to reach more girls, particularly from low income families.
The responsibilities of the board include:
- Create a multi-year program plan to include staffing, partnership and funding requirements.
- Identify partnerships to connect iSPACE with STEM mastery and available programs.
- Help identify sources of funding.
- Help identify mentors for events – women in STEM careers that can talk with girls during programs to answer questions and provide inspiration.
