about GIRLS IN STEM
Vision: To empower girls to see themselves in STEM.
Mission: To ignite a passion in girls for STEM so that they are prepared to thrive in tomorrow's world.
To accomplish their mission, the GIS Advisory Board hosts several all-girl STEM experiences throughout the year, provides girls with opportunities to interact with female STEM role models, and gives families and educators the resources and tools to support children's interest in STEM.

GIRLS IN STEM: Spaghetti With Betty
November 21, 2025
Girls in 5th-8th grade are invited to join us at the iSPACE GIRLS in STEM SPAGHETTI WITH BETTY Event on November 21st from 6 pm - 8 pm.
Step Into the Role of a Transportation Planner!
Have you ever imagined designing a town where everyone can get where they need to go—whether they’re walking, biking, riding the bus, or driving? As a Multimodal Transportation Planner, you’ll shape how a community moves!
You’ll work together to explore a fictional town map and uncover its transportation challenges. Choose creative solutions from a Transportation Toolbox—like bike lanes, sidewalks, and bus routes—and design a network that works for everyone. See how your choices impact the daily lives of the people who live there.
This hands-on activity puts you in charge of building a better, smarter, and more connected community.
