Making Mathletes strives to help close the math achievement gap for students in low-income, underperforming schools. Math is critical to all STEM disciplines and serves as a gateway to STEM fields.  This 20-session program focuses on young students (Grades 2 and 4) and lays a foundation in math utilizing LEGO® elements.  Each Making Mathletes lesson is engaging, hands-on, and relevant, helping to make abstract math concepts (such as fractions and number sense) more concrete for students.

Goals include improving state test scores, increasing  students' acknowledgment of math's importance and relevance to their lives, promoting confidence and self efficacy in math.
